COUNTRY Arts SA is proud to present the Stringybark Quartet in Warooka tomorrow evening (Wednesday, May 8).

Touring regional South Australia throughout 2024, this string quartet will bring an eclectically melded repertoire, performing well-known songs like audiences haven’t heard before.

The performance will transform from venue to venue, with each evening’s repertoire selected by the local community presenter group.

Audiences can expect to hear a plethora of musical stylings, from Mozart to Katy Perry, Icelandic hymns to Australian rock classics.

The Stringybark Quartet will take audiences on a musical adventure spanning multiple genres, including classical, folk, pop and new music.

Led by violinist, performer and composer Belinda Gehlert, the quartet is made up of renowned Australian string players, with violinist Emma Perkins, violist Linda Garrett and cellist Gemma Phillips joining on stage to weave together an evening of dynamic musicianship offering the intimacy that is unique to a quartet performance.

Join the Stringybark Quartet for an evening in venues that will amplify the feeling that the show will bring.

Suitable for all ages, the quartet’s performances have something for the whole family to enjoy.

The group’s second tour stop is Ballara Art and Lifestyle Retreat, Warooka; the performance starts at 7pm; see advert in the YP Country Times April 23 issue for details.
